Biometric Trust
Device Biometric Authentication
Device biometric authentication lets users protect their GlobalDoc Verify account and approve sensitive actions using the biometric authentication supported by their own device — such as iPhone device biometric authentication or Android device biometric authentication.
Your biometrics stay on your device
GlobalDoc Verify does not receive, store or process the user's raw fingerprint, face template or other biometric data from device authentication. The device's supported biometric authentication mechanisms are used appropriately through the platform's official APIs, which return only a success or failure result to the application.
What it protects
The capability is designed for account protection, approval of high-risk actions, secure verification action approval, secure report access and organization administrator authentication — adding a strong possession-and-presence factor on top of credentials.
Web today, native-ready
On the web platform, this capability is presented as architecture for future native integration. The same secure account and verification backend is shared across web and future mobile applications, so device authentication can be enabled per platform without redesigning the platform.

How does device biometric authentication work?
Device biometric authentication uses the device's own supported biometric systems to approve actions; the platform receives only a success or failure result.
Modern smartphones expose biometric authentication through official platform APIs. The biometric comparison happens entirely on the device within a secure environment; the application is told only whether authentication succeeded. This means a service provider can require a strong biometric factor for sensitive actions without ever collecting or storing the user's biometric data — a privacy-preserving design GlobalDoc Verify follows.
Privacy note: this capability follows our privacy-first biometric architecture — explicit consent, data minimization, least-privilege access and audit logging. Biometric information is never exposed on public verification pages.
