Face Verification
Face verification allows an authorized user to confirm that a live facial capture is consistent with the permitted reference image from their identity document. The workflow is consent-based, privacy-first and produces an evidence-based verification result.
How the face verification workflow works
An authorized user starts a verification, provides the required identity document, and captures a live facial image or video where the device supports it. The platform is designed to perform face comparison against the permitted reference image, run liveness checks, and produce a verification result. Where an integrated biometric provider is not yet connected, submissions are routed to expert review with the captured evidence trail.
What is assessed
The workflow assesses capture quality, face positioning, lighting conditions and the consistency of the facial capture with the permitted reference image. Automated analysis is combined with expert review, and the final result records which evidence was available at the time of assessment.
Privacy and data minimization
Biometric information is highly sensitive. GlobalDoc Verify does not store raw biometric images unnecessarily: the workflow records evidence states, consent and audit events rather than retaining biometric templates. Raw biometric data is never exposed on public verification pages and is never sent to analytics systems.

Results are expressed as clear, technically defensible verification assessments:

What is face verification?
Face verification is the assessment of whether a live facial capture is consistent with a permitted reference image, typically from an identity document.
Face verification combines face comparison with liveness assessment. The comparison step analyses facial characteristics between the live capture and the permitted reference image; the liveness step assesses whether the capture is a live presentation rather than a replay or a manipulated image. Results are expressed as an evidence-based assessment — Match, No Match, Inconclusive or Additional Review Required — and GlobalDoc Verify does not invent biometric confidence percentages unless a properly integrated verification technology returns a valid metric.
Privacy note: this capability follows our privacy-first biometric architecture — explicit consent, data minimization, least-privilege access and audit logging. Biometric information is never exposed on public verification pages.
