Monitoring Support
Transaction Monitoring & Financial Activity Review
Financial activity review support that helps organisations assess transactions against a customer's known profile and expected activity — with alerts treated as investigation inputs, never as automatic conclusions.
What is Transaction Monitoring?
Transaction monitoring is the process of reviewing financial activity for patterns or transactions that may be inconsistent with a customer's known profile, expected activity or risk profile. It is a core AML control: monitoring is how institutions notice when real-world activity diverges from what they understood about the customer.
What Can Trigger Review
Examples include sudden changes in transaction volume, unusual transaction patterns, unexpected international activity, transactions inconsistent with declared business activity, complex movement of funds, and high-value activity warranting review. None of these is inherently improper — an unusual transaction is not automatically an illegal one.
Alerts Require Investigation and Context
A monitoring alert is the beginning of an investigation, not its conclusion. We support the review of flagged activity by checking supporting documentation, verifying claimed explanations, and documenting what the evidence shows — so decisions rest on verified information rather than assumption.
