Due Diligence

Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Services

Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) applies deeper investigation and verification where a customer relationship or transaction presents higher or more complex risk — providing the additional evidence and documentation such situations demand.

What is EDD?

Enhanced Due Diligence involves additional investigation and verification measures applied where a relationship or transaction presents higher or more complex risk. EDD goes beyond standard CDD: deeper ownership analysis, closer review of financial activity, more thorough source of funds and wealth assessment, and senior-level review of findings.

When is EDD Applied?

Common triggers include complex ownership structures, higher-risk jurisdictions, high-value transactions, unusual financial activity, PEP relationships, unclear source of funds or wealth, and unusually complex corporate arrangements. A higher-risk classification is an assessment outcome — it does not itself mean wrongdoing.

Our Approach

We investigate ownership layers in more depth, cross-check information from multiple documents, review supporting financial records, and set out findings with clear evidence and limitation statements. Findings are framed as risk indicators and verified facts, supporting your institution's own EDD decisions.

  • Parent and intermediary company layers
  • Director and signatory information
  • Source of funds evidence
  • Source of wealth evidence
  • Jurisdiction and counterparty context

  2. 2Map the full ownership and control structure
  3. 3Verify additional identity and corporate documents
  4. 4Review source of funds and wealth evidence in depth
